Rules and Regulations

ELIGIBILITY:

Music must be Western, Country or Country Pop.

Submit demo music to Kane County in a MP3 format or a link to your music to jchurch@visitsouthernutah.com

Submit a completed application by May 15,2024 to be considered.

CHOSEN BANDS WILL RECEIVE:

$250 upon completion of their Saturday performance. ($250 deposit refund)

2 hotel rooms each night for Friday, Saturday (Aug. 23-24)

BAND INFORMANTION AND REQUIREMENTS:

Compete at the street fair Friday and Saturday.

Live music, band competition, no solo singers or DJ mixers.

Band size must be at least three, and no more than eight music performers.

Must perform a 45 min. set Friday and Saturday. You may perform the same or a different set each day.

No lip-syncing will be allowed.

You may only have up to 50% of your song be cover songs.

You have 15 min. to get on stage and set up, and 15 min. to get off stage.

We will provide a table to share with bands if you want to sell merchandise during your performance.

A tip box requesting tips is not allowed.

CHOSEN BAND MUST EMAIL BY MAY 2OTH to jchurch@visitsouthernutah.com:

Provide a high-resolution image of your band.
Submit a w-9 and signed contract.
$250 deposit
Have your stage plot and needs to the sound tech one week prior so the transition on and off the stage goes smoothly.
Have your signed contract email back.

COUNTRY BATTLE USA:

The festival is a family friendly event; you agree to provide appropriate entertainment.

Event organizers reserve the right to disqualify a band for reasons including:

Offensive lyrics

Inappropriate dress or behavior

Gang or offensive tattoos

Depiction of violence, nudity, intoxication, or explicit activity.

If a member is late for their performance time, the band may choose to perform without the late member or forfeit their spot in the competition. If the whole band is late for their performance time they will automatically be disqualified

Bands to provide all instruments and instrument implication (guitar, amp, base amp etc.)

JUDGING WILL BE BASED ON THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

We will have a panel of 5 judges, they will provide feedback immediately after each performance.

The band order performance time will be drawn through an online generator.

By participating in Country Battle USA, all members of the band grant Kanab Western Legends Heritage and Music Festival permission to take, use or publish photographs of them with or without their names, in a manner as, in its sole discretion, as we deem proper, and further waive ownership interest in any photo or copies thereof.

I hereby release Kane County and all other individuals or parties concerned from responsibility for loss of or damage to our equipment during competition or performances. I have read and understand all the rules and regulations. Kane County can use the band name, photos, and other images for promotional use.
