Rules:

*All youth participants 12 years and under are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

*The youth division through age 12 may participate in the barrels and flag race, and poles only.

*Parent or guardian signature is required for all participants under 18 years of age. 

*Helmets, long Pants (no Shorts) and closed toed shoes are required for all participants.  We do not provide these items.

*Participants will be disqualified if registered under false age.

*All Events are timed

Barrels- Participant start at a stopped position.  Once signaled they enter through timing light and proceed through correct barrel pattern. If pattern is broken there will be a no time.  For every barrel tipped over +5 seconds added to time. Then return through timing lights.

Flag Race- Participant start at a stopped position. Once signaled they enter through timing light, pick up a flag that is in a bucket drive down to other bucket and place flag in it, continue around bucket and back through timing lights.

Pole Bending- Pole Bending is an event in which the rider will navigate around six poles using either a weaving or serpentine pattern. Participants will start at a stopped position.  Once signaled they enter through timing light and proceed through the correct pattern. Pole Bending is scored based on the tie it takes to complete the event.  Each rider is given a start time, and must finish the event within the time limit.  The rider with the fastest time is declared the winner.  Knocking over a pole during the race adds five seconds to the time.  If a pole is missed completely, ten seconds are added to the time. 

Hang Man- Participants start at a stopped position with driver and rider both on machine.  Once signaled they enter through the timing light and head towards the hanging tire. Once there they drop of the rider without touching the ground to grab on to the tire and hang there. While rider is hanging drive will then turn back drive around a tire and come back to pick up rider.  Rider must then get back on machine once again without touching the ground. Then continue back through timing lights.

Hide Race- Driver starts at a stopped position with hide hooked to machine.  Rider will be waiting at other end of arena. Once signaled they will they will then enter through timing light and head towards rider. Slowing down enough to let rider get on hide they will then go back towards start, around a barrel back around a barrel by where they picked up rider, through a mud pit and back through timing lights. If Rider has fallen off they are allowed to go back and pick them up to continue course.

eBike Race- Riders will us an electric, battery powered, balance bike, to participate in appropriate classes.  Check wheel size to sign up for the correct class.

Morgan County Fair will not and does not assume liability whatsoever for injury or death to person, damages to property or penalties of any kind.
